Videolink to the seminar: The media, labourmovement and power over minds

There is at the moment no daily socialist newspaper in Sweden. This of course has significant drawbacks for the public debate, and almost everyone within the broad left agrees on this. But how would such a newspaper look? Who would own it? What influence would it have? How does the swedish mediastructure work? Those and several other questions are adressed during this seminar.

Videolink to the seminar: European left in movements and governements

The development of the European Left is very ambigious. In most countries it is on the defensive, with weak participation in social movements, and without parliamentary influence over the government. And finally – what has happened with the announced organizational development in the Swedish Left Party. Participants: Steve McGiffen, editor of Spectrezine.org and associate of the Duth Socialist Party as well as Assistant Professor of International Relations at the American Graduate School in Paris Ingrid Fiskaa, member of the board of the Norweigian Socialist Left Party
